Attendance, Absences and Tardies-

• Students who arrive after 7:50 a.m. will be marked "tardy". Children coming to class after 7:50 a.m. will be sent to the office for a tardy slip.  Students need to be in their seats and ready to work by 7:50. Children should be seated in the gym at 7:40 a.m.  I will pick them up at this time.
• Students who arrive after 9:00 a.m. will be marked "absent".
• If your child is absent, please send a note explaining the reason for the absence.  If a note is not sent, the student's absence will be marked "unexcused".

Dismissal-

• Please send a written request if your child needs to leave early or go home a different way from the usual way.
  
  
  

Library-

• Our library day is on Fridays. 

Lunch-

• Lunch is at 11:00 a.m.  Parents are always welcome to eat lunch with their child!
• Desserts can be purchased on Fridays.  Cookies, ice cream, pudding, jello may be purchased. Prices range from .30 to .50 per item.  Students are allowed one dessert.
• Lunch tickets are on sale in the cafeteria in the mornings before school.  If you are sending your child with a check in the morning, direct your child to go to the cafeteria before going to the gym.

Parties, Birthdays & Invitations-

• Our class parties will be at Christmas and Fiesta.  We will also have a Valentine Exchange.
• Birthdays are recognized but not celebrated in the classroom. Parents are allowed to bring in or send in store bought cupcakes.
• Students who wish to distribute invitations to parties need to either bring invitations to all classmates or to all same gender classmates.  Please send invitations for your child's own class.  They will not be allowed to pass invitations to friends in other classrooms.  We are trying to avoid hurt feelings.

School Spirit Days-

• Our school has Spirit Day on Fridays.  We encourage the children to wear the school shirt (may be purchased in school office) or school colors of yellow/gold or royal blue.
