When students come to the Content TIP Lab they work on curriculum related activities that their teachers have integrated with technology skills and applications. The students are asked to produce projects which demonstrate the learning that has taken place within the classroom.

Each of the NISD curriculumn departments along with the Instructional technology Department have made it a priority to provide teachers with technology integrated lessons.

Students also come to the Content TIP lab to to research using the Intranet. Before students are allowed to use the district computers for research a permission slip must be signed by parents or guardians. Then the students are taught how to access educational sites, how to navigate through the sites, and how to critically evaluate the information that they are gathering.

The classroom teachers plan closely with the campus technologists to provide the students with the technology instruction they need. Together they decide what should be taught in the Computer Rotation Lab so that the students are prepared when their teachers work with them in the Content TIP Lab projects that integrate technology into the other subject areas.
