Technology at Lewis

Each classroom at Bob Lewis Elementary is equipped with a computer workstation. This workstation includes a Dell networked computer and a Zenith television on which the computer screen can be displayed.

Teachers are encouraged to have their students use this workstation in the classroom for many activities. This include, but are definitely not limited to, Internet research (individual and/or group), word processing, project development using many software applications (Microsoft Suite, KidPix, Inspiration, Graphers, MapMachine, TimeLiner and others), using skill development software applications (NISD Facts and TEKS Math), as well as, independent Internet activities such as Starfall.com.

Teacher also use these same resources to design lessons that are displayed on the Zenith television for the entire class.
