Bonnie Plant Farm 3rd Grade Cabbage Program Comes to Leon Valley Elementary

Starting in January, fifty two lucky Leon Valley third graders will try their hand growing O.S. Cross oversized cabbage plants at home over a 10-12 week period. After spring break, the student with the largest cabbage will be selected to represent our campus in the statewide Bonnie Plant Farm cabbage growing contest. With parent permission, a photo will be submitted and the winning entry at Leon Valley will compete with others in the Texas program to see who grew the largest cabbage. The state winner will receive a $1,000.00 Series I U.S. Savings Bond toward their college expenses from Bonnie Plant Farm.
